About Sree Dattha Group of Institutions

The Vyjayanthi Education Society established the Sree Dattha Group of Institutions in 2011. Sree Dattha Group of Institutions courses are offered in B.Tech, B.Ed, M.Tech, MBA. SDGI courses are offered to engineering and management programmes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Sree Dattha Group of Institutions admission is done on the basis of merit and entrance examinations. Sree Dattha Group of Institutions admission to MBA programme is done on the basis of CAT, MAT, TSICET.

  • The study rooms are located in familiar halls, where boys and girls have separate rooms so that late-night study sessions will not disturb their roommates.
  • The hostel provides students with high-speed Internet (wi-fi) access for academic purposes. 
  • Separate air-conditioned mess areas are provided for boys and girls. The mess area for boys is 2600 square feet, while that for girls is 1200 square feet. The halls are spacious and provide good clean washbasins, dining tables, adequate ceiling fans, and food serving platforms. Both halls have televisions for entertainment and news.
  • Providing good quality food is the hostel's number one priority. Only branded ingredients are used in the preparation of food. A Mess Committee consisting of students, wardens, and the mess master periodically reviews and fixes the menu in accordance with their suggestions.
  • Mineral water is available for consumption in the mess area and in each floor's corridors. Water coolers are kept in each floor's corridors. Hot water is provided by solar water heaters, which are located on the roof of the building.
  • A volleyball court, shuttle courts, and a vast place to play cricket are available for use by guests. Bats, cricket balls, shuttle rackets, nets, etc., are all available for guests to use. Indoor activities like caroms, chess, Chinese checkers, etc., are also available.
  • The hostel has a small store where students can buy stationary items, toiletries, snacks, etc., without having to leave the hostel. Mobile phones can be recharged, and Xerox machines can be used as well.

Sree Dattha Group of Institutions Academic & Industry Collaborations

Remote training center Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering & Science has tied up with IIT Bombay and Kharagpur. Remote training center (it is a mission of MHRD to train 10000 teachers): under this scheme the engineering colleges of repute, in India were shortlisted to delegate the responsibility of training the teachers. Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering & Science has been identified as one of the remote center in the Ranga Reddy Region. Under this MHRD project, IIT Bombay will notify to identify one faculty from our side to attend the workshops conducted over there for a week time, TA as well as DA and accommodation will be provided by them. After the one week workshop the faculty has to make arrangements for a similar workshop in the college where he belongs. The participants of the workshop can be professors/lecturers from any engineering college; IIT Bombay will take care of their TA and DA. The workshop dates will be scheduled by IIT BOMBAY but prior to that the participants have to register for the workshop on the IIT Bombay portal through the Host College. The acceptance of registration will be at the discretion of IIT BOMBAY. Once the confirmation about the faculty is received he is eligible to attend the workshop. The workshop is conducted using the latest ICT (Information and communication technology) method which is similar to teleconferencing, the resource person and speaker for the workshop will be an IIT faculty. After every concept taught a quiz has to be attended by the faculty through online mechanism using AAKASH-II tablets. After the workshop is completed the faculty has to submit the assignments proposed by IIT and only after the submission the faculty will receive the participation certificates from IIT Bombay.Resource Center for Free Open Source Software(FOSS) We are the only Resource Center in the entire Ranga Reddy District and are authorized to provide support to other degree/ UG or PG colleges About Spoken Tutorial Project: It is a part of the Talk to a Teacher project of IIT Bombay. It is funded by the National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. Of India. The Principal Investigator of this project is Prof. Kannan M. Moudgalya at IIT Bombay. A total of 30 workshops were conducted under this scheme and 6000 students and faculty were benefited by attending it, these participants were each awarded a certificate by IIT Bombay.Research & Development Center for AAKASH – II tablets IIT BOMBAY has established an R&D center in SREE DATTHA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE campus. The objective is to conduct research on the AAKASH-II tablets in two areas: To assess the technicalities of the tablet and report to the IIT BOMBAY To develop application for ANDROID platform To utilize the tablets in workshops conducted by IIT Bombay Under this scheme SREE DATTHA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE has been awarded 300 AAKASH – II tablets, 254 faculty and 4000 students will be benefited through this center. Also IIT-Bombay has conducted workshops for the faculty & for the students, the details are as follows: For Faculty Aakash for education Research methodology For Student Android application develop program. Database management system Activities carried out in the center till date: 1) Five teams of 3 students in each developed an Android application as per the IIT Bombay instructions and uploaded to the IIT Bombay portal, SREE DATTHA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & SCIENCE is the only college all over India to submit these many applications.UNISYS Collaboration with Unisys in the following areas: Unisys Innovation Labs Project Guide Meet through Webinar. As on date 73 students from our college are eligible for executing Mini & Major Projects under the guidance of Unisys Achievements Recently a team of our students from Mechanical Engineering stream grabbed all the first three positions in a national level competition held at IISc. Bangalore on Smart Cities Design Our students topped 2nd all over India in the AAKASH TABLET CHALLENGE 2013 competition which was a joint initiative of IEEE and IIT Bombay for developing an application named "Flamingo" for Android platform. Our students topped 2nd all over India in the ROBOTICS 2013 competition which was conducted by IIT GUWAHATI for developing a ROBOT. Our students topped 2nd all over India in the ROBOTRYST 2014 competition which was conducted by IIIT HYDERABAD IN COLLOBORATION WITH IIT DELHI for developing a flying ROBOT(similar to the one shown in 3 IDIOT movie).
